Breeding conditions:
|
| Arctic Foxes were not numerous. Rough-legged Buzzards bred numerously, although Snowy Owl did not breed numerously and had low breeding success. Pomarine Skuas did not breed. Generally, in the whole region, wader breeding success was higher than average.

Rodent dynamics:
|
| In the lower Kara river area (east side, in the north to 68ø50 N and in the east to the Baydaratsk Bay of the Kara Sea), the density of lemmings was moderate and Narrow-skulled Vole density was maximal.
